Accessibility
Everyone should be able to use this site, whether they use a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, or a phone on a bad signal.
What we aim for
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This site hasn't had an independent audit, so we don't claim it fully meets that standard. Below is what we have checked.
How we tested it
- An automated scan (axe-core 4.10) of every page against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at A and AA, with zero problems found.
- The whole site used with a keyboard only: every link, button and form field can be reached and shows where focus is.
- The form tells you which field needs fixing, moves you to it, and reads the reason out to screen readers.
- Every page checked at 320 pixels wide, the same as 400% zoom, with nothing cut off and no sideways scrolling.
- Animation is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion, and the moving examples at the top can be paused.
What we know isn't perfect
- The laptop and phone at the top of the home page are a mouse and touch preview. Keyboard and screen-reader users skip them, and the link under them opens the same sample as a full page that works with both.
- We haven't yet tested with every screen reader. If yours struggles with anything, we want to know.
